Hello

My name is Russell Hart and I’m pleased to see you here at my site. I live on a small acreage about 70 kms south of Hobart, which is the Capital City of Tasmania, that small island State situated just south of mainland Australia.

On this site I hope to introduce subjects and material that will be helpful in providing information and assistance to those who may be suffering from depression, and those who may be close to someone who is suffering from depression.

I’d like to emphasise that all the information, techniques, skills and concepts contained within this site are not in any way recommended in place of professional help, nor is it my intent to overwrite such professional help.

At this stage you may query my qualifications in regard to writing about this subject. I’ll be quite frank and say that I have no qualifications in the area of depression. But, I have suffered from depression for some 40 odd years and have finally made my way out of it.

My particular depression came about due to what has been described by my professional advisors as chronic social anxiety. As I said, I’ve suffered for over 40 years.

I won’t go into describing what I experienced through those years, only to say that my inability to dine out, with guests at my home, or as a guest in a friend’s home made my life rather miserable. Yes, I had good periods when I thought I was cured, then it would re-occur.

I’m now free of the anxiety and depression, and this came about by counselling with a pschologist who is also an EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) practitioner, and participation in The Linden Method. Yes, that is an Affiliate link, but only because In firmly believe it’s worthy of your consideration. It certainly helped me in my efforts to overcome my anxiety and depression!

Finally, I’d like to say that I hope the information I’m putting in my pages is of assistance to you and that by reading it I will have some way helped you to overcome the illness that is depression.
